  • Voluntary Catastrophic Leave Sharing Programs

    An employee on leave may experience a catastrophic situation that results in needing additional paid time off. Voluntary Catastrophic Leave Sharing programs address this need, allowing eligible employees to donate leave hours to help others.

    If you need time off to care for a loved one or bond with a newborn, foster child or adopted child, you may be eligible for job-protected leave. At UCSF, some or all of your job-protected leave may be paid.
