Educates patients on how to make nutritionally sound food choices to speed the recovery process, prevent disease and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Involves the preparation of surgical specimens for gross description and dissection, under supervision of a Pathologist. This includes but is not limited to: describes gross anatomic features; dissects surgical specimens; prepares tissue for histologic examination; and photographs the gross specimens. Performs postmortem examinations as needed.

Primary goals are to increase patient satisfaction, and to optimize care and outcomes. Acts as a communication liaison to understand the patient's non-clinical individual needs, desires, and concerns.
