Overview
The pregnancy disability leave workshop recording is intended to assist staff employees in understanding the pregnancy leave process. Watch this recording at any time, but optimally when you are six to eight weeks from your expected delivery date.
About the workshop
In this recording you will learn:
- What actions to take before, during, and after your pregnancy leave
- California state and federal leave protections under Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and California Family Rights Act (CFRA)
- Policies/contracts covering usage of your sick/extended sick time accruals and vacation/PTO accruals
- Lincoln Financial disability insurance coverage
- How to continue health benefits when you are on leave without pay
You may watch this recording multiple times and at any time throughout the leave planning process.
Should you have additional questions about the pregnancy leave process, you may register for a one-hour Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) Town Hall Q&A session. For PDL Town Hall sessions, please check HR Umbrella (also accessible via MyAccess; VPN is required). You will need to watch this recording and attest to having watched this video before registering for a PDL Town Hall. The PDL Town Hall sessions are not intended to be personal 1:1 consultations; rather, an opportunity to ask any additional questions you may have with our LOA specialists.
This workshop is intended for staff employees. If you're having problems using HR Umbrella, please contact your manager.
