Clearances

OHS provides a variety of work clearance appointments to new and existing UCSF employees.

• Respirator clearance

Injury management and prevention

OHS offers medical care for occupationally acquired injury and exposure. Programs aimed at workplace injury prevention are available to UCSF employees.

• Complaint of the Arm, Neck, and/or Shoulder (CANS)
• Ergonomics
• Exposure protocols
• Work-related injury/illness
• WorkStrong

International travel

For UCSF-sponsored international travel, OHS may provide access to certain vaccines.

Immunizations

UCSF employees are required to have proof of immunity to many communicable diseases. When indicated OHS provides access to vaccines.

Screening, testing and surveillance

TB surveillance is required most UCSF employees. For employees with additional occupational risk, screenings and surveillance programs are in place.
