Interacts with physicians, clinical staff, and health information management professionals. Works with coding staff to ensure that documentation of discharge diagnoses and any co-existing co-morbidities are a complete reflection of the patient's clinical status and care.

Involves development and implementation of radiation treatment plans, dose distributions and calculations. Activities include conferring with physicians, clinical staff and physicists on prescribed dosages; measuring and modelling the contours of the tumor area on the patient's body during the simulation set up; mathematically developing treatment plans by hand calculation or through use of a computer.
