A new look and some added features are coming to UCSF’s Recognize platform. As part of the transition, the current Recognize platform will briefly shut down and be unavailable from Jan. 29 until the new user experience begins on Feb. 3. 

Due to this upgrade, service anniversaries that would have normally been communicated in January 2025 will be communicated in February, along with February service anniversaries. The data records reflecting your service anniversary will not be impacted.

Additionally, previously received recognitions will not migrate to the upgraded platform, so be sure to save any special recognition you want to keep before Jan. 29. To save copies of your previously received recognitions:

• Log into the Recognize platform
• Click the “Digital Card” button to locate your Recognize user page
• Click "Activity History” in the right-hand “My Settings and Info” section
• Set the “From Date” to 01/01/2019
• Select “All Recognition” in the drop-down menu
• Click the “Show Activity” button
• Click on the dates for individual recognitions that you want to view and print

Be sure to check out the new platform once its live. As users continue to engage with the platform throughout the first month of launch, they will be entered into a raffle drawing to win prizes as they complete different "missions," such as issuing or receiving recognitions, loading their profile picture or avatar, or reviewing different areas of the new platform

Here’s a look at what to expect from the revamped platform:

What's New

• More user-friendly interface 
• When users log in, they’ll land on a new Celebration Page that includes all the contributions made to their special moments 
• Members of team celebrations will have visibility to a shared Celebration Page commemorating their team contributions 
• The sender of the recognition will be able to invite other employees to contribute to the celebration 
• Recipients can send a ‘Thank You’ message directly from their Celebration Page, which sends an email notification to all recognition contributors 
• Eligible participants will be able to opt out of having a Celebration Moment created for them by going to their Settings page 
• Message translations offered in 19 languages 
• Users will see references to “Elevate”, which is updated branding from UCSF’s vendor

• Continue to celebrate the important moments, achievements and milestones of your colleagues, such as welcoming new team members, team accomplishments, promotions, thanks for outstanding performance and contributions, congratulations on achievements, birthdays, and farewells  
• Recognize colleague behaviors that help make UCSF a great place to work, like Caring, Cheerfulness, Diversity, Efficiency, Excellence, Helpfulness, Integrity, Kindness, Leadership, Patience, Professionalism, Sustainability, Teamwork, Wellness 
• Both Recognize givers and receivers will continue to be automatically entered into monthly sweepstakes drawings when issuing recognition via digital cards
• Previously awarded 2024 Service Anniversary gift codes that have not yet been redeemed will be available on the new Recognize site
