Biography

Leanna Reyes, Psy.D., M.A. is a postdoctoral fellow with the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program at UCSF. She completed her predoctoral internship at Kaiser Permanente Oakland where she supported parents, children and extended families, utilizing a holistic and evidence-based approach to treatment. While at Kaiser Oakland she co-administered neuropsychological assessment batteries and assisted with the parenting skills course for parents of adolescents and teens and co-facilitated a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group. While in her internship year Leanna presented at the hospital-wide grand rounds on how to apply Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in the clinical setting.

Prior to her internship year, Leanna completed her training in the chemical dependency program at Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco where she facilitated groups on Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Leanna’s therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through a culturally and trauma-informed lens, considering all elements of a client’s life and lived experience. Leanna integrates the mind-body connection to her therapeutic approach, while utilizing evidence-based treatment techniques.

In her free time Dr. Reyes supports nonprofits that provide opportunities to individuals resulting in community enhancement. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, her dogs, yoga, reading, and hiking.
