Expected FY25 Salary Increase for Policy-Covered Staff
The expected 4.2% increase is contingent on the approval of the state budget.
UC President Drake has announced an expected 4.2% across-the-board base salary increase for policy-covered (non-represented) staff for fiscal year 2025. This increase is contingent upon approval of the Governor’s current proposed state budget, which has not yet been finalized, and is subject to change. We expect final confirmation near the start of the fiscal year.
Highlights and eligibility requirements:
- The increase has an anticipated effective date of June 23, 2024 for employees who are paid biweekly and July 1, 2024 for employees who are paid monthly.
- The increase is expected to appear on the July 17, 2024 paycheck for employees paid biweekly and on the August 1, 2024 paycheck for employees paid monthly.
- Eligible staff will be those hired into career or UC contract appointments on or before January 8, 2024. Appointments must be at 50% or more.
- An employee's most recent performance rating must be rated at the “Meets” performance level or better to be eligible for this salary increase.
Additional information will be provided once the program is formally approved.
