July is Disability Pride Month

Learn ways you can celebrate and honor people with disabilities this month.

The UCSF Disability Awareness Campaign external site (opens in a new window)  launched at the June 2 Engagement Town Hall to highlight the lived experiences and contributions of faculty, residents, postdoctoral scholars, and staff with disabilities at UCSF, in addition to resources that support those living with a disability.

The month of July is Disability Pride Month and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Disability Pride month was established in July because it marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Active participation in creating a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment for all faculty and staff at UCSF is one way to celebrate this month. You may also celebrate and honor Disability Pride Month by:
