Sue Forstat, manager of the Health Care Facilitator Program, has received a Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Service.

She and 12 other members of the UCSF community were honored in the 2022 Founders Day awards, which acknowledge some of the exemplary individuals who contribute to the University’s excellence.

The Award for Exceptional University Service recognizes exceptional individual service contributions to UCSF by staff members who demonstrate outstanding dedication to the betterment of UCSF, devoting time as well as energy to serve the University and campus community.

Forstat, who has been with UCSF since 1990, was nominated by Stephanie Collins, vice president and assistant vice chancellor of people wellness.

"Sue has emerged as a leader in driving efforts to gain COVID vaccination participation, with individualized and culturally appropriate strategies to address racial disparities in participation," Collins said. "In her 31 years at UCSF, Sue could be counted on for valuable feedback, assertive approaches to enhance and improve the environment for trainees, staff, faculty, patients, and visitors. I couldn't be more thrilled to nominate Sue for the Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Service."
