What's New in Oracle HCM This Week
The latest updates improve recruiting and candidate management, streamline HR transactions and integrations, and expand reporting and Help Desk capabilities.
UCSF continues to refine Oracle HCM with enhancements that make processes more efficient, accurate and easier to manage. The latest updates improve recruiting and candidate management, streamline HR transactions and integrations, and expand reporting and Help Desk capabilities.
Hiring Managers and Recruiting Teams
- New graduate tags for candidate sourcing: Recruiters can tag and filter candidates as Medical Assistance Graduates or Practice Coordinator Graduates, making these candidate pools easier to identify when sourcing for relevant roles. (OHCM-366)
Department Initiators
- Clearer separation transactions: Separation transactions use exact UC location choices and clearer field labels, and an unused field has been removed, making termination transactions easier and more accurate to complete. (OHCM-21)
- Changes to the worksite categories in requisition: Making the Flexible Ad Hoc workplace option available in the requisition to all applicable users would allow departments to more accurately reflect positions where on-site requirements vary based on business or team needs. (OHCM-354)
HR Teams and Leaders
- Life-support certifications available in Oracle HCM: ACLS, BLS and PALS certification data from RQI is available in Oracle HCM, giving HR a single place to review credentials without checking a separate system or entering the information manually. (OHCM-137)
- Updating campus location value texts: Adds "Bay" to the campus location value so it displays the complete Benioff Children's Hospital in Mission Bay name. Hospital names for Stanyan and Hyde are also updated, and duplicate location options are removed. (OHCM-365)
Help Desk Users
- Clearer Oracle Help Desk categories: Help Desk categories more clearly distinguish enhancements, questions and feedback, helping users route requests to the appropriate team. Outdated Staff hypercare categories have also been removed to reduce confusion. (OHCM-381)
- Add Helpdesk Category for Academic Separations: Added a dedicated "Academic - Separations" category, enabling academic separation requests to be consistently tracked and automatically routed to the Academic Personnel Team queue, improving visibility, accountability, and timely handling of requests. (OHCM-384)
Thank you to everyone who continues to share feedback. These incremental improvements help strengthen the reliability and usability of Oracle HCM for teams across UCSF.
