Upcoming Trainings with Vaya

Learn more about how to hire third-party temporary workers through Vaya.

Departments seeking third-party temporary workers are invited to attend one of two upcoming training sessions from Vaya that will highlight services you can expect when ordering temporary workers, and how to use their team and Optimizer system. Vaya and UCSF began a new partnership in June 2022 and this training is intended for departments who are still unfamiliar with the Vaya program.

Two identical sessions will be held:

  • Thursday, Oct. 12, 3-4 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 13, 9-10 a.m.

Contact [email protected] and let her know which session you would like to attend. She will send you an invite.

Please note that the Vaya program is separate from UCSF’s internal Temporary Employment Program (TEP), which can also fill a wide range of temporary needs. Learn more about the difference between Vaya and TEP.

About Vaya

Vaya manages partnerships with temporary staffing agencies to meet UCSF’s short-term staffing needs.  Vaya coordinates temporary staffing across the full span of roles needed at UCSF, including Finance, IT, Technical, Research, and Clinical. Vaya is “vendor neutral”, meaning they are not a staffing agency themselves. Vaya negotiates the best rates for UCSF with multiple staffing agencies and manages the performance of those agencies. UCSF’s partnership with Vaya has eliminated the need for these requests to go through BearBuy and has streamlined the onboarding process of these workers.
