Enhancements make common HR activities easier to complete, improve data accuracy, reduce manual work, and streamline hiring and position management

Over the past several months, feedback from department managers, initiators, HR teams, and campus partners regarding their experiences with Oracle HCM has shaped this next set of enhancements to the system. 

‌As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the Oracle HCM experience, these enhancements are intended to make common HR activities easier to complete, improve data accuracy, reduce manual work, and streamline hiring and position management. 

‌These updates are part of our continuous improvement effort and reflect feedback we've received since go-live.

Areas of Improvement

‌Hiring Managers

Requisition Editing: Gain the ability to edit requisitions while in draft-pending review status.

  • Benefit: Speeds up the hiring process by allowing quick fixes without restarting the approval chain.

Onboarding Support: Access helper text designed to address specific pre-boarding employee tasks.

  • Benefit: Lowers manager administrative burden by helping new hires complete paperwork correctly the first time.

Compensation & Department Managers

Fallback Routing: Receive auto-routed requisitions when no department-level compensation approver exists.

  • Benefit: Prevents hiring delays by ensuring critical financial approvals never get stuck in a bottleneck.

Data Integrity: Benefit from locked position-sourced fields to prevent unauthorized edits on active requisitions.

  • Benefit: Ensures strict budget and headcount compliance across all departmental job postings.

HR & Operations Managers

Workforce Transfers: Oversee the updated OLGA integration to ensure seamless employee transfers.

  • Benefit: Eliminates manual data entry and prevents data errors when moving employees between departments.

Appointment Reinstatement: Manage the complex process of reinstating multiple concurrent worker appointments.
