Mental Health Town Hall: Accessing Support Resources at UCSF
The virtual event will help UCSF employees connect with mental health support
The Academic Senate Committee on Faculty Welfare and UCSF HR People Wellness Team invite Campus and Health faculty and staff to a virtual Mental Health Town Hall on Wednesday, May 21 from 3-4 p.m.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this event aims to remind our UCSF community about all the essential mental health resources and support systems available to you.
Event overview
The town hall will address challenges such as caregiving responsibilities, work-related stress, and navigating mental health services. HR People Wellness team panelists will provide guidance on accessing UCSF's mental health resources for employees and their families.
“We hear from faculty and staff who are overwhelmed—not just by personal or family issues, but by structural pressures like reduced funding and increased workloads,” said Stephanie Collins, Vice President/Assistant Vice Chancellor of People Wellness. “This event is a direct response to that feedback.”
This virtual town hall will offer:
- Real-life scenarios that reflect the challenges our faculty, staff, and trainees are facing
- Practical guidance on navigating UCSF’s mental health and wellness resources
- Insight from experts on how to support yourself and others in the workplace and beyond
