Don't Let the Flu Get You — Get Vaccinated
UCSF's annual series of influenza vaccination clinics kicks off Sept. 6
UCSF Occupational Health Services' annual flu vaccinations for faculty, staff, students and volunteers begin Sept. 6. Protect you, your coworkers, family, and community — get vaccinated this flu season.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urges everyone 6 months and older to get a yearly flu vaccine as a safe and effective way to prevent mild to severe illness that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes death.
The compliance deadline for UCSF employees, physicians and learners to get their flu shot is by Nov. 1, 2022. The UCSF Fresno campus has a Nov. 15, 2022 deadline. Flu vaccines are required by public health agencies and the University of California.
For up-to-date information about where and when to get a flu shot, review the flu vaccination outreach clinic schedule. Josh Adler recently shared a message with the UCSF community about the importance of getting the flu shot and how to get it.
Updating your flu vaccine record or submitting a flu declination is easy and convenient. Log into the Occupational Health Services Portal (VPN MyAccess required).
- Upload your flu documentation if you receive your flu vaccination from a non-UCSF outreach clinic.
- Submit a completed and signed flu declination form.
- Can't attend a flu outreach clinic? Nurse flu deputies can vaccinate onsite staff at work locations by request.
