Overview
As we transition to more time in the office, take some time to familiarize yourself with our updated workspace and explore the nearby neighborhood. This is a brief overview of the amenities and features of our workspace at the Wayne and Gladys Valley Center for Vision.
Building entrance
Address: 490 Illinois St., San Francisco, CA 94158
The main entrance to Valley Center is through the front entrance via 16th Street and Third Street at 480 16th St. A badge is required to enter the front doors and the elevator. Find instructions on how to get your UCSF ID card.
HR reception, workstations, and offices are located on the sixth floor.
Workstations
HR workstations are located to the far right of the sixth floor reception area/entrance. There are six designated workstations for HR: 6322, 6323, 6329, and 6331, 6330, 6321.
The open-plan model is an active space where we encourage meetings at the desk and casual conversations, while also being mindful of our neighbors. The expectation is that voices and speaking are normal, and people should plan to use noise-cancelling headsets. Individuals are expected to take their non-confidential Zoom meetings or phone calls at their desks.
HR Business Services teammates on-site can help provide noise-cancelling headsets.
Wipe down work surfaces before and after daily use. Empty recycling and trash bins before you depart for the day.
Huddle rooms and focus rooms
These are on a first-come, first-served basis. All staff are encouraged to use workstations when in the office to ensure offices are available when managers need to meet one-on-one with members of their team or staff with confidential conversations.
Conference rooms
There are three conference rooms that can be reserved through Zoom Workspace: Rooms 601, 602 and 604.
