Lee, Wilson: Nominated for providing Professionalism by being a reliable and collaborative team member to the Compensation team during a period where cases were at a much higher load than normal. In addition, to completing the regular daily tasks, Wilson took on additional cases for the team which amounted completing about 4 times the regular case load.
Millhollon, Julie: Nominated for going above and beyond over the last 3 months supporting the TEP team. Initially assigned for vacation coverage, Julie quickly identified opportunities for process improvement and assisted in implementing these processes such as developing a new hire case tracker, adjusting PeopleConnect case structure to reduce email traffic, and overall guidance and training to the TEP team on key onboarding steps.
Ng, Veronica: Nominated for providing weekly department reports for Staff Shared Services over 2 years. These impactful weekly reports included a snapshot of data of the team at large in an easy to read quick view for Leads and Managers so they can quickly see which area of the team will need additional support.
Phan, An: Nominated for creating a comprehensive spreadsheet resulting in the rationale to remove the On-Call Pay with the Department of Radiology. An provided much consultation with leadership and LER resulting in new job classifications and job templates which addressed the concern of losing candidates for salary reasons.

April 2022

Allen, Melissa; Chaudhari, Chhaya; Dumlao, Jeffrey; Lam, Candy: This SME workgroup were involved in two Compensation initiatives: Job Creation workstream and the launch of the JDXpert system. In addition to their regular roles, the workgroup also faced various major challenges due to different circumstances out of their control that impacted the project timeline and focus. This workgroup illustrated an immense amount of patience, perserverance, and dedication to the new 'One HR' we are all striving to build and support.
Del Rosario, Flory; Ward, Melissa: Nominated for the participation in the Student Task Force project with UCOP and UC Compensation Managers requiring regular attendance at UC Systemwide Committee meetings to help shape and strategize on the new job classifications; all none are regular responsibilities asked of them on a daily basis while handling a high workload.
Hong, Emily; Samelson, Sharon: Nominated for the last 12 months, Emily and Sharon took on coverage for the Department of Medicine of a teammate who was out on LOA who had a high workload while already having a high workload of their own. Roles and responsibilities of both the covered position and their current position successfully.

March 2022

Atangan, Hazel; Budanova, Nataliya; Millhollon, Julie; Stone, Shannon: Nominated for the creation of the RMS Equity Chart. PRIDE pillars of note in this nomination are Professionalism and Excellence as the team supported a particular piece of the project to meet the February 2022 deadline and focusing on what would yield the best result best end-result for the department rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Vuong, Lisa: Nominated to recognize for significant efforts to foster innovation with partnerships all while working with the Department of Medicine on development of the DOM Equity Portal over the last seven months. Lisa has taken the lead role in various aspects of the DOM project when it came to training, scheduling, reviewing/testing salary data, and other activities. Lisa has demonstrated Professionalism & Excellence throughout the completion of the project.

February 2022

Baltazar, Jonas: Nominated for continuous demonstration of professionalism at the highest level by chance management and ability to engage managers, supervisors by meeting monthly to review all of the employees with all occupational and non-occupational injuries. This activity has resulted in a substantial decrease in loss days and assisting employees to return to work earlier; a major characteristic of Professionalism and Excellence in our PRIDE values.
Millhollon, Julie: This award is to recognize Julie for above and beyond work over the last eight months in support of the training of recently hired staff. PRIDE values of Professionalism were illustrated in working with the HR generalist leads and new hires by providing constant time, care, and commitment while balancing current work. Julie's commitment to excellence has given new hires a smooth transition to their roles to support the team and Shared Services as a whole with kindness.
Passalacqua, Sean: Nominated for leading the revision of the LOA (Leave of Absence) request form, having to complete an extensive review with key stakeholders to address challenges, organizing collective input, and other technical revisions to the LOA form.
Reclusado, Annamie: Nominated for teamwork during a difficult transition in a quick pinch until ultimately bringing on a permanent replacement for a leave specialist. This four-month temporary fix from Annamie was acted upon in a high quality of work providing consultations, quick response rate, and even assisted in clean ups of other outstanding work. Annamie used previous expertise in managing leaves while juggling regular duties.
Stark, Bellamie: Nominated for excellent teamwork during a difficult transition and for ongoing amazing customer service with departments and stakeholders. As soon as a leave specialist left the team, Bellamie quickly stepped in to absorb and thoroughly close more cases resulting in a very high workload, all while receiving multiple praises and accolades for excellent work as "one of the best" from a department vice chair.

January 2022

Carter, Esther; Loyd, Ellen; Somers, Bob: Nominated for quickly volunteering to go the extra mile in being able to ensure on-time start dates for a high volume of employees who were pending COVID and flu clearances during the winter holidays. During a period of short staffing, the team consulted with new hires, reviewed their documentation, and learned new systems to achieve this tall task, all while exhibiting PRIDE values — especially in Professionalism and Excellence.
Le, Nikki: Nominated for perfectly illustrating PRIDE values in Professionalism and Excellence in quickly recruiting six contract workers needed for departmental support on a very short runway. With less then two weeks notice, Nikki was able to successfully recruit these contract positions start work in early to mid January.
Lazarus, Margery; Lumley, Susan; Somers, Bob: This group award is awarded for epitomizing what the PRIDE values are all about in acting as the interview committee for eight critical contract positions needed to help support the reorganization work. With less than two weeks notice, the interview process of 17 candidates added up to about over 40 extra hours to meet the deadline for a timely start date of these positions.

Beeson, Todd; Dumlao, Jeff: Nominated for their stewardship of Pride Values as both supervisor and recruiter providing an up-to-date version of the Annual Veteran's Open House and Job Fair during the pandemic, creating an all virtual and engaging event for all attendees
Caneda, Annette; Frosch; CJ, Jones, Michael; Leung, Miriam; Mullen, Alleysha; Shirley, Monica: This Team Achievement Award for the Learning and Organizational Development team is for achieving departmental goals in leveraging system analytics, creating LMS processes promoting strength development, continuous DEI learning activities, creation of new action labs, and build out of new programs just to name a few. This consistent teamwork and high quality of work attributes in support of the Four Chancellor's Goals while modeling our PRIDE values.
Carpenter-Tran, Kristopher: Nominated for going far above and beyond his normal expectations for his role in providing front-line workers in need of attention and guidance during the pandemic. Kristopher has been the guiding light for the department who has become a role model in otherwise difficult times providing high grade education and coaching.

Zuniga, Monique: Nominated for teamwork during a recent team transition when Monique took on additional workload and clients and provided training and assistance to teammates while remaining unwaveringly calm, composed, organized, and friendly.
