Overview
Mental Health Bingo offers a lighthearted and enjoyable way to prioritize self-care and engage in activities that bring joy and fulfillment.
Background
Participants have the opportunity to explore various self-care practices, build resilience, and connect with others who share a common goal of prioritizing mental health. Through engaging in diverse wellness activities and fostering dialogue around mental health topics, individuals increase self-awareness, reduce stress, and gain knowledge about maintaining well-being.
Instructions
Step1
Download the PDF of the Mental Health Bingo Sheet
- Mental health bingo PDF
- Send the PDF out to all interested players, and encourage them to print it out/post it somewhere visible to them
- Players can mark an ‘X’ over squares as they complete them
Step2
Download the Justification and Benefits Story Sheet
- Justification and Benefits Story Sheet
- Players can write brief statements below each engagement activity Justification and Benefit Explanation about how they were able to complete each square
- Extensive/private answers are NOT required
Step3
Elect a Bingo Master
- This person will be responsible for receiving and reviewing completed Story Sheets
- They should be willing volunteers!
- They do not need to be detectives, they just need to note that all “stories” have been filled out
- They will also be responsible for determining the order in which Players complete their cards
Step4
Departments
- It is recommended that departments arrange their own prizes, potentially 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
- In order to get information out, departments can announce the event in Late April
- It is recommended that Winners are announced at the end of the month to encourage more playing time
- Departments can also consider participation prizes, “creative engagement” special mentions, etc.
