    Involves protecting life and property, maintaining security and order, and preserving the general welfare of the organization. Engages in a variety of police activities such as patrolling, investigation, law enforcement, crime prevention and detection.     Involves the cleaning and housekeeping of buildings and exterior areas, including classrooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, museums, private rooms in residence halls and apartments, patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, administrative offices, research and clinical laboratory areas, waiting areas and restrooms using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. Follows established infection-control practices to ensure a clean and safe environment. May oversee biohazardous waste disposal process according to established procedures and quality standards. Follows established procedures for dealing with potential hazards. Monitors inventory and inspects equipment for repair and / or replacement. May manage Linen Services operations and staff lab coat ordering. Work may include trash and recycling material removal, meeting room set-up and hotel-like room servicing.
