The ongoing wildfires in Southern California have devastating and far-reaching implications that can take time to recover from.

FSAP is hosting a group session for UCSF staff, faculty, postdocs, residents, and fellows with loved ones impacted by the disaster.

The Psychoeducational Training will last an hour and include actionable resources. All registrants will be provided with a summary handout of the presentation material.

Embedded within the experience near the beginning will be a self-assessment about the current emotional impact of the wildfire on participants. For those who self-identify as experiencing a high level of distress, an invitation to transfer to a process group will be provided. The process group will last until 1:30pm.

The goal of each offering is as follows:

  • Psychoeducational Training – Learn coping strategies and practical tools to support loved ones in distress.
  • Process Group – A space to share experiences, emotions, and support with others.

Join us to connect, learn, and support one another during this challenging time.
