Preparing for the Staff Engagement Survey

Managers are asked to perform three actions to prepare for the upcoming survey

Engagement is something we work with our teams to cultivate all year and the staff engagement survey is one way we can measure how we’re doing as an organization. Data also shows that teams who participate in action planning have higher levels of engagement. The 2024 staff engagement survey is coming, and all managers are asked to perform three actions to prepare:

  1. ‌By Feb. 14: Confirm your HR Umbrella Team Roster
    • This ensures your team is accurately captured for the survey. To update your roster, reference the Campus and Health “Roster Quick Guides” available in the Roster section of HR Umbrella.
    • If you have questions, Campus managers can email [email protected] and Health managers can submit a PeopleConnect Inquiry Ticket or contact your primary HR Generalist.
  2. By Feb. 29: Nominate an Engagement Ambassador
    • Nominate by Feb. 29 to ensure your Ambassador receives an invitation to the Ambassador Orientation and access to Staff Engagement Survey participation rates.
  3. ‌By March 1: Review Engagement Action Plans. Additionally, FAS and Health managers are asked to mark completed action plan tactics in HR Umbrella by this date.
    • Before this year’s survey starts, remember to:‌
      • Review goals of existing plans with your team.
      • ‌Assess and record progress.
      • Maintain focus to keep making progress.
