On April 15, 2022, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced its FY2022 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) stipend levels for postdoctoral scholars. Postdoctoral scholar salary/stipend rates have increased.

UCSF HR Shared Services for Trainees is reviewing all hires and reappointments with dates of May 1, 2022, or after.
HR is contacting departments of scholars with impacted salary changes.

• When contacted by your HR generalist, please follow the guidance provided such as:
  • Update submitted PeopleConnect Management action cases with salary changes.
  • Sign and re-issue revised appointment/reappointment letters to postdoctoral scholars.
