Best Practices in Diversity Recruitment Toolkit and Hiring Guide Update
The Office of Diversity and Outreach and Human Resources have updated the Best Practices in Diversity Recruitment Toolkit and Hiring Guide.
Recent updates to the Best Practices in Diversity Recruitment and Hiring Guide provide enhanced information regarding prospective employees with disabilities, including accessible and inclusive marketing, interview, selection, onboarding, and additional reference material.
The online, interactive toolkit provides best practices in diversity recruitment. Whether you have hiring responsibilities, serve on an interview committee, or are simply interested in educating yourself, we invite you to access the toolkit and the supplementary hiring guide. The tools aim to:
- Standardize information on conducting recruitment and hiring
- Share best practices for a fair and equitable recruitment and hiring process
- Provide resources to support recruiting and retaining diverse employees
“The CDC reports 27% of adults in the U.S. have a disability. The importance of attracting, hiring, and retaining employees with disabilities of all backgrounds is key to supporting UCSF’s programmatic infrastructure and to enhancing the climate for people with disabilities,” said UCSF Chief Accessibility and Inclusion Officer, Wendy Tobias Ed.D.
