If you are paid through the UC payroll system you are automatically enrolled in the Safe Harbor DCP (Defined Contribution Plan). You also have the option to save pre-tax dollars by enrolling in the 403(b) and/or 457(b) plans.
COBRA
Residents & Clinical Fellows who separate from the University may be eligible to continue their medical, dental and vision coverage under COBRA continuation. Trainees may also want to explore other insurance options under the Affordable Care Act. Resources are available at www.healthcare.gov (national) or www.coveredca.com (California).
