PCMA Cases for Benefits Eligible-Employees Being Hired During Open Enrollment - Not published

During this year’s Open Enrollment period (Thursday, October 29 – Tuesday, November 24), new employees eligible for benefits will first need to enroll in benefits as a new hire in UCPath and then after the new hire benefits populate in UCPath, new employees can take an Open Enrollment action as needed: 

  1. Enroll in UC Path into their new hire benefits
  2. After the new hire benefits populate in UCPath, new employees can take an Open Enrollment action for benefit changes effective January 1, 2021

Manager/Department Action

To ensure your new employees have a window of time to take both their benefits enrollment and open enrollment actions during the Open Enrollment window, it is critical that managers submit your PeopleConnect Management Actions (PCMA) case at least three weeks prior to the new appointment effective date to allow for the PCMA case to be processed by HR, Transactional Services Unit (TSU) and UCPath . 

As we get closer to Open Enrollment, we will provide more specific information about the enrollment process for individuals hired during this period.
