Health Care Facilitator Program

Need individual help selecting a medical plan, or have a hassle with your current medical plan or access to medical care? Contact the Health Care Facilitator Program to arrange your personal consultation. The Health Care Facilitator Program also can assist you with a variety of issues (other than benefits eligibility or enrollment).

Disability, life insurance and accidental death/dismemberment coverage

Retirement

If you are paid through the UC payroll system you are automatically enrolled in the Safe Harbor DCP (Defined Contribution Plan). You also have the option to save pre-tax dollars by enrolling in the 403(b) and/or 457(b) plans.

COBRA

Residents and clinical fellows who separate from the University may be eligible to continue their medical, dental and vision coverage under COBRA continuation. Trainees also may want to explore other insurance options under the Affordable Care Act. Resources are available at www.healthcare.gov (national) or www.coveredca.com (California).
