Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FSAP)

As of March 17, FSAP is taking an active role in slowing down the spread of COVID-19 by supporting UCSF faculty, staff, residents, clinical fellows, and postdoctoral scholars through distance counseling services.  We continue to provide assistance to the UCSF community by conducting all psychological counseling and consultation services via a HIPAA-compliant tele-therapy platform and/or by phone. To make an appointment, please call our main line at (415) 476-8279. Please note, due to the high volume of calls, we may get back to you within 72 hours.

Health Insurance Coverage

The UCSF Health Care Facilitator Program remains fully available by phone to address any question regarding insurance coverage related to COVID-19 or access to care. For the most rapid response, please email Sue Forstat.

Labor & Employee Relations

Ongoing support from your assigned LER Consultant is available and urgent issues are being triaged via our central email box: [email protected].

Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD):

All Management Practice Series sessions are either happening via zoom or being re-scheduled. Registered participants will receive updates informing them of the status of their session.

New Employee Orientation (NEO)

Adjustments: Effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, NEO will temporarily transition to remote orientations for Staff, Academic, and Postdoc titles:

  • In-person NEO sessions will temporarily be halted due to the city’s shelter-in-place directive
  • In place of in-person sessions, modified processes have been established to allow for the remote signing of required payroll and employment verification forms
  • Benefits presentations will be provided via a weekly web-based orientation
  • New-hires will be instructed to go to WEID directly to obtain their ID badge

Performance Evaluations

Given the disruption to operations and competing priorities for our clients, the campus performance evaluation deadline has been extended to March 31, 2020 (original deadline was March 16, 2020). We have updated the online resources with the new deadline.

Staff Engagement Survey

The Staff Engagement Survey has been tentatively postponed to April 15
