As the UCPath launch approaches, we want you to know about two key dates that affect staff appointments: February 28 and March 6. Additional dates related to the UCPath transition are being finalized; look for the complete schedule of cutover* activities in a forthcoming communication.


February 28: Final date to submit Campus reclassifications and equity requests.

  • This pause allows Compensation and Shared Services to complete as many pending actions as possible and enter those requests into the Payroll and Personnel System (PPS) prior to UCPath cutover*.
  • In early May, retrofitted PeopleConnect Management Actions forms will be ready. At that time, departments may submit actions for a June 1, 2020 effective date.
  • Between February 29 and early May, Exceptional Equities for retention offers are allowed.

March 6: Final date to enter funding changes for career and contract (non-MSP physician) appointments with funding distribution lines ending in April, May, or June.

  • Departments should use the Luke Hones “monthly report” to verify necessary actions
  • To ensure accurate conversion into UCPath, career and contract employees must have active funding distribution lines.
  • If departments do not take action by March 6, 2020, HR will extend the distributions with current funding sources through June 30, 2020.

Looking ahead

In early March, we begin the MSPphysician renewal process. For affected departments, your HR Generalist will be in touch about key dates very soon. We aim to renew all MSP physician appointments prior to the UCPath cutover* to ensure this population’s smooth transition into UCPath.
