Last week, Chancellor Hawgood announced that UCPath has a revised go-live date of May 2020 at UCSF, with a first pay date of June 1, 2020. Many across our Human Resources teams have been heavily involved for more than a year to support the UCSF launch and ensure a smooth transition. We support the decision to provide additional time to ensure that our rollout is successful, with continued efficient operations for UCSF Campus and Health.

Because UCPath will affect many HR-related processes that all employees depend on, HR leadership has prioritized launch activities and dedicated a portion of our people resources to a successful go-live. As a result, some key project timelines will be adjusted:

  • The Academic Renewals process: more information to be shared in the near future
  • Compensation workstreams / HR Roadmap through our partnership with Kincentric.
    • Straight Replacement, New Position/Like Job will launch on December 9 as planned.
    • We expect additional Compensation work on Job Classification and Equity Setting to resume in fall 2020.
  • Other HR Roadmap workstreams already underway will continue, including Labor & Employee Relations, the Talent Acquisition Transformation, and Learning & Organization Development’s work on People Manager Competencies.
  • Impact on other initiatives will be determined and shared as we better understand the details of the UCPath cutover plan and timeline.
