The UCPath Steering Committee made the decision that UCSF HR will be the central point for creation and management of all employee payroll appointments. The guiding principle is that standardized operational processes are required to support transition into UCPath. While UCSF HR already manages payroll entry in the Online Payroll and Personnel System (OLPPS) for most employee populations, this represents a change for Interns, Residents, and Clinical Fellow appointments. With UCPath implementation, UCSF HR will conduct these actions centrally.

HR Shared Services is currently partnering with the UCPath project team, School Control Points, School of Medicine (SOM) Graduate Medical Education, and representatives from various Residency and Education programs to prepare for this transition.

Stay tuned for upcoming additional communications related to the HR workflow, systems use, implementation timelines, and training resources.
