On August 8, 2019, the University and UPTE (University Professional and Technical Employees) ratified an agreement. The agreed upon salary increases for FY20 for RX (Researchers), TX (Technical Employees) and HX (Health Care Professionals) populations are as follows:


1. RX and TX Unit: All employees in these bargaining units are eligible

  • 7/1/19 Monthly (MO) and 7/14/19 Bi-Weekly (BW) Effective Date
    • 3% Across the Board (ATB) increase
  • January 2020: 3% ATB increase


2. HX Unit: Rate increases vary by job and employee based on labor negotiations. Departments will be notified of individual pay rate increases by employee. 

  • 7/1/19 MO and 7/14/19 BW Effective Date
  • Step increase in January 2020 for employee IF
    • Non-probationary;
    • Career appointment; AND
    • Satisfactory or better Performance Evaluation (PE) rating

The changes that are effective in July 2019 will be processed as follows:
