An enhanced Recruitment Request form goes live in PeopleConnect Management Actions on July 5, 2019.

What is changing?

  • Key areas of the current Job Description/ Employee Requisition Form (JD/ERF) template will now be required in the PeopleConnect Management Action case at the time of submission, and no longer required in the MS Word document:
  • Employee Requisition Form (ERF) completely integrated into PeopleConnect Management Actions
  • Department Overview (required for posting)
  • More recruitment options:

 Recruitment Option

 Definition

 New position

New request that has not been posted and/or classified

 New position, like job

A recruitment for a new position whose duties are similar to a position approved by Compensation on or after November 1, 2017, with minimal changes

 Straight replacement

A recruitment that directly replaces an individual who is leaving the role  with minimal changes to the description that was classified on or after November 1, 2017

 Replacement with changes

A recruitment for an incumbent that has significant changes (i.e. shifts in key responsibilities, request for a different level)

Why it is changing:

  • Adds baseline data that will be used to test our effectiveness as we implement the workstreams highlighted on the HR Roadmap.
  • Supports the current pilots for Job Builder & Straight Replacements and enables full deployment in late 2019 when UCPath retrofits will limit the ability to release updates.

The updated generic JD template (for bargaining unit positions) will be available on the Career Tracks section of the HR website and PeopleConnect to decrease duplication of effort. We are partnering with Office of the President to update the MSWord Career Tracks templates on the UCSF HR Website.
