The 2018 Staff Renewal process has begun! Many of you are familiar with the annual renewal cycle, however, for those of you who have not experienced the staff renewal process, this is the time of year that HR and the Transactional Services Unit (TSU) work together in providing our clients notification of all appointments and or distributions that are ending on, or before, June 30, 2018. A preliminary round of renewals were implemented this year for departments to submit SRS tickets or PeopleConnect Management Action (PCMA) cases to extend appointments or distributions beyond June 30, 2018. All actions received by March 23, 2018, will be processed and reflected in the Round 1 spreadsheets. We cannot guarantee any actions received after March 23 will be processed in time for Round 1.

A reminder of the timeline for the process:

  • April 2018 - Round 1 Review:
    • April 9: Round 1 renewal spreadsheets will be sent out to departments (date revised from the March 5 HR Update article)
    • April 23: Round 1 spreadsheets are due to HR
  • May - June 2018 - Round 2 Review:
    • Week of May 21: Round 2 renewal spreadsheets will be sent out to departments
    • June 1: Round 2 spreadsheets are due to HR
  • June 2018:
    • Staff Shared Services will conduct a final sweep to ensure that all employees have been extended beyond June 30, 2018, and Shared Services will partner with departments to finalize remaining employees

Note: MSP Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists, will be handled through another process. Departments with these populations will receive a separate announcement for this in mid-April. If there are any questions, please contact your HR Generalist.
