It is with mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Crystal Morris from UCSF, and her last day in the office will be June 28, 2018. Crystal has been with the University for 29 years working for Campus Human Resources. She has worked for Campus Employment, Managed the Temporary Employment Program, and most recently in Compensation as the Campus Compensation Supervisor. Crystal is a vibrant member of the UCSF Community and has been involved in several committees including the Black Caucus, Chancellor’s Award Selection Committee, and the Chancellor’s Diversity sub-committee. Crystal has received several achievement awards for her leadership and service during her tenure at UCSF. In 2005, she received the Chancellor’s Award for the Advancement of Women; in 2016 she received the Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Chancellor award and most recently in 2018, she was a legendary member honoree at the Black Caucus 28th Annual Gala Celebration. I’ve worked closely with Crystal the past three years and two things that really stand out to me are the commitment and dedication that she brings to her work and the support and mentorship that she provides to her team. Please join me in congratulating Crystal on her retirement and thanking her for the excellent work, mentoring, and partnership that she has provided!

Kellie Beale, Compensation Consultant for the Campus will be taking on a manager role with the Compensation Unit effective April 1. An HR Update article will be published in early April with an updated organizational chart.
