On December 13th, Phillip Babcock will be starting a new position in the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs Office (see Emerald Light's announcement).  Phillip has worked in HR for over 20 years and had been with Shared Services since it went live in 2012.

As an Academic HR Manager, he oversees School of Nursing (4 departments, 1 ORU, Dean’s Office), several departments and ORUs in the School of Medicine (Anatomy, Cardiovascular Research Institute, Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Institute for Health Policy Studies, Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases, Office of Continuing Medical Education, Pathology), and several departments, ORUs and units in the EVCP domain, including the Library, QB3, LARC, Research Resource Program and the Institute for Global Health.

Phillip has been an integral part of the HR team and will be greatly missed but we are very pleased he will continue to work with us in his new role.

Cheryl Drassinower, Director of Academic HR Shared Services, will be posting the recruitment for Phillip’s replacement very soon and is working on a transition plan while that recruitment takes place.
