We are pleased to announce the hire of Phillip Babcock as our new Academic Affairs Strategic Business Partner, effective December 13, 2017.

In his new role, Mr. Babcock will work as a strategic business partner for academic personnel issues at the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy. s. Combined, these three professional schools have six unique health sciences compensation plans (HSCP) and approximately 690 faculty, 120 non-faculty academics, and 900 volunteer clinical faculty.

Mr. Babcock has over 20 years of Academic Personnel and HR experience at UCSF. He has served as the Academic HR Manager for the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, the Institute for Global Health and the Helen F. Diller Comprehensive Cancer. Most recently, since 2012, Mr. Babcock has served as an Academic Human Resources Manager in the UCSF Academic Human Resources Shared Services.
