As a follow-up to the July 11 HR Update article, there are a few updates to the FY18 STAR Program as listed below:

  • Payment Calendar: As you will see, the updated payment calendar only has dates available through March 2018. April through June dates will be coming (likely by December 2017) after further information is available about the implementation of UCPath. In addition, there is only one payment date per month for the Spot Awards. This change was incorporated to assist with identifying audit issues that were identified this past year. 
    • April 30, 2018, has been identified as the due date for Achievement Award submissions via an Service Request System (SRS) ticket. 
  • FY18 STAR Employee Notification Templates: There are two versions of the employee notification templates. There is a letter/memo version with more information, and an email version that is very brief. The employee templates are optional, but it is strongly recommended the employee is notified of the award prior to award payment. These templates can be modified to meet your personal needs/preferences. 
  • Updated Employee Nomination Form: Based on an overwhelming amount of feedback for improvements to this form, we are taking some additional time to make enhancements to the nomination form. The updated form should assist with identifying audit area items. We anticipate the updated form will be available by the end of September. Last year’s form can be used for submissions until that time.
