Join the Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) for a 6-week mindfulness-based self-compassion course intended to increase self-awareness through a heart-centered approach. Through the lens of self-compassion this mindfulness course will promote greater self-acceptance, an increased ability to allow difficult emotions, and provide self-soothing techniques during moments of inner chaos. Through practice, planting the seeds of mindfulness self-compassion can result in healing old self-defeating patterns such as self-criticism and blame. Over time, and with the support of a group, the subtler qualities of self-compassion, wisdom, and inner stability can emerge.

Introduction Session Schedule:

  • Monday, March 6, 12–1 p.m. (Laurel Heights, 376)
  • Thursday, March 9, 12–1 p.m. (Mt. Zion, Herbst Hall)
  • Friday, March 10, 12–1 p.m. (Parnassus Campus Library, CL 220 & 223)

Open to all UCSF faculty, staff, residents, postdocs, and clinical fellows

Please note: The full free 6-week Mindfulness Based Self-Compassion Program will be held at Parnassus on Mondays from 12–1 p.m. The full schedule will be announced at the informational sessions.
