The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recently announced the 2017 Retirement Plan Contribution limits: 

Voluntary Retirement Savings Plans:
The Maximum Annual Contribution (MAC) limit for retirement plans is not changing.  Effective Jan. 1, 2017, the MAC limit for the UC Retirement Savings Program's 403(b) Plan and/or 457(b) Plan will remain at $18,000 for employees under age 50. For employees who reach age 50 or older as of Dec. 31, 2017, the limit will be $24,000.  

Covered Compensation for Pension Plan Participants Not Subject to the PEPRA Limit:
The maximum covered compensation that can be considered toward your Highest Average Plan Compensation (HAPC) is increasing slightly next year. The 401(a)(17) limit, effective July 1, 2017, will be $270,000 for non-grandfathered members and $400,000 for grandfathered members.
