Prop. 64, regarding the legalization of recreational marijuana use, passed on November 8, 2016. However, marijuana is still prohibited at the University of California. Please review the UC Office of the President’s statement on the passage of Prop 64 and UC’s policy on marijuana

Note that in accordance with the University of California’s Policy on Substance Abuse and UCSF Campus Administrative Policy 150-11 Substance Abuse in the Workplace, employees shall not use illegal substances or abuse legal substances in a manner that impairs work performance and assigned tasks. Employees found to be in violation of the University’s policies may be subject to corrective action, up to and including dismissal.
