Human Resources was tasked with implementing Career Tracks across the campus by November 2016. The project is well underway and moving along successfully. UCSF HR appreciates the engagement and hard work that is being done across the campus departments! The Compensation Unit has classified 1,963 additional job descriptions due to this project. This is an amazing accomplishment, but unfortunately it has resulted in delays in the regular Compensation Unit work. In order to address this issue, UCSF HR has initiated the following two strategies:

  1. A Contract Compensation Analyst III position has been posted (44837BR). This position will be used specifically for Career Tracks-related work to help the Compensation Specialists focus on non-Career Tracks-related work and improve turnaround time.
  2. The reclassification freeze went into effect on Monday, May 16. More information is available here.

The Compensation Unit appreciates your continued patience as they work through the backload. The priority will remain classification for recruitments and exceptional equity requests for pending salary offers. If you have any questions regarding pending compensation requests please direct them to Crystal Morris, Compensation Supervisor.
