As members of the UCSF Campus and UCSF Health community, the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) invites all faculty, staff, residents, postdoctoral scholars, and clinical fellows to use our confidential counseling services, which are provided at no cost. Until now, our counseling services have only been offered at our main office at Laurel Heights. In addition to SFGH, the development of the Mission Bay campus has resulted in a significant number of UCSF employees working at a distance from Laurel Heights. Travel to and from our office can be time consuming—especially when traveling by shuttle. To make it more convenient for employees in the southeast part of the city to make use of our services, FSAP is opening a new office at the Mission Center Building (MCB) at 15th and Folsom streets. This location is only a 10–15 minute shuttle ride away from Mission Bay and SFGH, as well as being more convenient for other locations in that part of town, such as China Basin and Minnesota Street. Initially, the MCB office will be open on Wednesdays; however, if that day’s schedule regularly fills up, we will be able to open up a second day. When you call to make an appointment (415/476-8279) please be sure to indicate if you would like to be seen by a counselor at our new MCB office.
