Due to increasing concerns and feedback from the campus on the ability to recruit Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC) at the higher levels, the UCSF campus is modifying the requirement for certification by the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRA).

Effective for positions posted on or after Jan. 4, 2016, the requirement for certification will change from a required qualification to a preferred qualification. Incumbents who are selected for Senior CRC or CRC Supervisor positions without the certification shall be required to obtain the certification within one year of starting employment at UCSF. The template job descriptions on the UCSF HR website will be updated with this change the week of Jan. 4. To ensure consistency, this same requirement will be utilized in reclassifications to either the Senior CRC or Supervisor title codes.
