In compliance with the agreements between the University, the California Nurses Association (CNA) and the Healthcare Professionals Unit (HX), represented by the University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE), there will be three salary transactions implemented in January 2016.

There will be two salary transactions for employees in HX represented job titles: A 2 percent range adjustment and a step increase. All employees in HX job titles are eligible for the 2 percent range adjustment. Employees must be non-probationary and have a satisfactory or above performance evaluation to be eligible for the step increase.

The salary implementation for employees in job titles represented by CNA will receive a 4 percent range adjustment. All employees in a NX represented job title are eligible for this salary increase.

The range adjustments for both UPTE and CNA will be managed by Human Resources and Payroll. The step increase will require collaboration between department representatives and their HR Generalists.
