UC is implementing its Fair Wage/Fair Work plan (starting on Thursday, Oct. 1) and the San Francisco Minimum Wage Ordinance (MWO). Over the last few weeks, HR Generalists have contacted managers who have employees impacted by this change. Please work with your finance manager to ensure these wage increases are included in your budget.

Key Dates:

  • Oct. 1, 2015: All employees hired to work at least 20 hours a week will be paid a minimum of $13 an hour starting wage
  • July 1, 2016: All employees working in San Francisco will be paid a minimum of $13 an hour starting wage regardless of numbers of hours worked
  • Oct. 1, 2016: All employees hired to work at least 20 hours a week will be paid a minimum of $14 an hour starting wage
