Beginning July 13, 2015, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), a branch of the federal government, will resume accepting premium processing for H-1B extension of stay petitions.

USCIS previously announced premium processing services would be suspended for H-1B extension of stay petitions through July 27, 2015. The temporary suspension allowed USCIS to begin adjudication of applications for employment authorization filed by certain eligible H-4 nonimmigrants under new regulations. After a thorough workload assessment USCIS determined it can continue processing H-1B extension of stay petitions prior to July 27, 2015.

For details about the federal notification, please see the USCIS website. For information related to UCSF H-1B cases, please contact Chris Flores in the ISSO.
