Dear UCSF Non-Represented Staff,

It is election time for UCSF Staff Assembly Executive Board positions. The Staff Assembly at UCSF is an association of employees who are not represented by an exclusive bargaining agent. The Staff Assembly was established by the Chancellor, under authority granted by the Regents, to serve an advisory function on matters of staff concern. Our mission is both to enhance communication among our members and to advise the chancellor and campus administrators and leadership, with whom we have regular meetings. We also facilitate communication with our staff counterparts on other UC campuses through participation in the Council of University of California Staff Assemblies (CUCSA).

All UCSF non-represented employees (from both the campus and medical center) are eligible to be nominated and elected to serve on the board. If elected, you will become an advocate and representative of all UCSF non-represented employees. This is a great opportunity for professional development and leadership in your community.

Elections are being held for the following positions:

  • Chair Elect – Assists the Chair and acts as the alternate contact person for all Assembly business.
  • Secretary – Records and posts the minutes of Staff Assembly meetings, as well as sending quarterly updates to our membership.
  • Treasurer – Reviews, approves, and keeps the records of Staff Assembly expenses.
  • Communications/Marketing Officer-Elect – Assists the Communications/Marketing Officer in updating the Staff Assembly website, and helps with raising the awareness of Staff Assembly at UCSF.
  • UC Regents Observer – Attends, in person or by computer, all UC Regents meetings and presents a summary of the meeting to Staff Assembly.

More detailed descriptions of the open positions and additional information about the Staff Council can also be viewed on our website. You may nominate or self-nominate a non-represented staff member that you believe would be the most qualified to fulfill these duties. The election committee will contact all nominees to ascertain their interest in running for office.

Submit your nomination here.

Nominations should be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, May 15.

We wish every candidate the best of luck and we look forward to meeting the newly elected 2015-2016 UCSF Staff Assembly Executive Board.
