COVID-19: Health HR Program Impacts

The UCSF Health Human Resources office at 3360 Geary Street office is closed to walk-in visitors until further notice due to the COVID-19 emergency situation. HR staff are available by phone and email. Please read below for specific program impacts/adjustments.

HR Customer Experience Center


To reach Human Resources, please contact the newly launched HR Customer Experience Center at 415-353-4545

  • For benefits and leaves of absence questions, please select option 2. 
  • For all other Human Resources questions, please select option 3. 

Human Resources representatives will be answering calls during the hours of 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday, with a plan to extend hours in the upcoming weeks.  Voicemails received will be responded to within 1 business day.

New Employee Orientation (NEO)

and New Hire Onboarding

UCSF Health New Employee Orientation will be held via Zoom until further notice. Additional details will be sent to new employee invitees. HR Onboarding/New Hire visits will continue to be conducted via Zoom and arranged directly with the new employee.




Benefits orientations for Health New Hires:

The webinar details and all the benefits materials and resources will be emailed in advance of the webinar.

Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD)

All instructor-led training will be held via Zoom or rescheduled. Registered participants will receive updates informing them of the status of their session.

Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FSAP)

As of March 17, FSAP is taking an active role in slowing down the spread of COVID-19 by supporting UCSF faculty, staff, residents, clinical fellows, and postdoctoral scholars through distance counseling services. We continue to provide assistance to the UCSF community by conducting all psychological counseling and consultation services via a HIPAA-compliant tele-therapy platform and/or by phone. To make an appointment, please call our main line at (415) 476-8279. Please note, due to the high volume of calls, we may get back to you within 72 hours.

Health Insurance Coverage

The UCSF Health Care Facilitator Program remains fully available by phone to address any question regarding insurance coverage related to COVID-19 or access to care. For the most rapid response, please email Sue Forstat.
