Plan your retirement

  • Obtain an estimate of your University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP) benefit by visiting "UCRAYS" (UC Retirement At Your Service)
  • Decide on your retirement date, then within 90 days of your intended retirement, contact the HR/Benefits Specialty Center at 415/476-1400 or [email protected] to schedule an appointment with your dedicated retirement/benefits counselor or use the HR Look Up Tool to find your benefits counselor. 
  • The retirement application process at UC is completed in two stepsthe entire process takes approximately three months:
    1. Request a Personal Retirement Profile
    2. Submit your Retirement Election.

  • Note: The application of an inactive Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) to the Highest Average Plan Compensation (HAPC) for July 1st retirements only applies to 1976 Tier members where there is a minimum of at least 'one business day gap' between your date of separation and your retirement date of July 1.
